Transitioning to Fall: Hair Trends 2017

October 12, 2017

The rains and cold autumn air of October are back! Don’t let the change in seasons from hot and sunny to damp and dreary bum you out, (pumpkin)spice it up this season with the latest trends spotted on and off the runway. If you’re on the hunt for a fresh, fashion forward change this fall, look no further!

Blunt Crops | Lash Skimming Bangs | Buzz Cuts

Much like the first half of 2017, blunt crops and buzz cuts are still super trendy for this fall. Making a reappearance this fall is bangs that sit right at your eyelashes. Pair a blunt bob with a sharp fringe for a uber trendy take on this seasons trends.

Sleek Pony's (High & Low)

Both high and low ponytails are fashion-friendly, go-to look this season.  Most runway trends this season feature a sleek, sometimes even slicked back look. A low, sleek ponytail is great classy look for any holiday party you might be attending this season.

Baby Braids | Slicked Back | Face Framing Tendrils

Braids are always in and you can never go wrong with any style, however; baby braids are specifically making a comeback as one of the most popular styles. The slicked back, wet look popularized by the Kardashian's among many other high fashion celebrities continues to be a go to style for sophisticated events this fall.

Pastel Highlights & Platinum Blondes

It seems like everyone has been trying out the platinum blonde trend over the spring and summer. Luckily if you jumped on the bandwagon, platinum blonde continues to trend hard through this fall and winter. Pastel highlights and accents, although traditionally a summer look, are trending this fall as well.

Men’s Edition

For men, “skinhead” buzz cuts are in style this season. Wear it with your natural colour or go for a dyed, intense colour for a bold look. Another popular stylish cut this season is the cropped blunt fringe. However, stay away from this one if you have a round face. The loose quiff, a classic style, is also seeing a strong re-emergence this fall.
